A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Agreement Regarding the
Establishment of the Agreed Extraterritorial jurisdiction Property
Boundary between the City of Liberty Hill, Texas and the City of
Georgetown, Texas
WHEREAS, the City of Liberty Hill, Texas and the City of Georgetown, Texas wish to
establish an agreed Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) property boundary between the two
municipalities, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42.023 of the Texas Local Government Code, the cities of
Georgetown and Liberty Hill have each agreed to release properties from their Extraterritorial
Jurisdiction (ETJ) and relinquish all ETJ rights in said property and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, wishes to enter into an Agreement regarding
Extraterntonal Jurisdiction Property Boundary by and between the City of Liberty Hill, Texas
and the City of Georgetown, Texas, to establish said agreed ETJ boundary.
Now Therefore, be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas:
That the said Agreement, being proper and according to law, shall be, and it is hereby,
granted; and, further, the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the
City said Agreement, a copy of same being attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated
herein for all purposes.
