RESOLUTION NO. Q3a534Z' I v A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO VACATE AND ABANDON TWO TEN -FOOT (10') PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS ON THE SHARED INTERIOR LOT LINES OF LOTS 66-68 OF CIMARRON HILLS PHASE 1, SECTION 2, BLOCK C, AS RECORDED IN CABINET U, SLIDES 36-38 OF THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received a request for the vacation and abandonment of two public utility easements on the shared interior lot lines of Lots 66-68 of Cimarron Hills Phase 1, Section 2, Block C, (the "Easements"), as shown on the attached Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, there are no utilities located or proposed to be located within the Easement; WHEREAS, upon considering the request for vacation and abandonment and additional information pertaining to the request, the City Council now finds that a public need for the Easements no longer exists. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements the following policies of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan: 4. Effective Governance 4.1 Effective, Responsive Government B. We have created and enforced innovative, effective and fair regulatory codes and development standards to guide and improve development quality. The City Council further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other 2030 Comprehensive Plan Policies. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A abandoning two public utility easement on the shared interior lot lines of Lots 66-68 of Cimarron Hills Phase 1, Section 2, Block C, as recorded in Cabinet U, Slides 36-38 of the Official Public Records of Williamson County Texas, located on Paloma Point, and the City Secretary is authorized to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
