CONFLICTINGLOCATION; ADD AN ELECTION DAY VOTING LOCATION FOR
COUNTY PRECINCT 345; AND TO ADOPT A JOINT ELECTION
AGREEMENT; REPEALING t' •, PROVIDING
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 13, 2007, the City Council of the City of Georgetown ordered a
general lection for the City Council Members of Districts 3,4 and 7 to be held on May 12, 2007;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 021307-GG included the preliminary list of early voting
locations, which have since been refined by the Williamson County Elections Administrator (the
"Administrator") resulting in the change of one location, which had been annotated with a note
stating "WILL CHANGE" in the Resolution No. 021307-GG; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 021307-GG did not include an Election Day Voting location
for Georgetown voters in County Precinct 345, and such a location has now been identified and
added to serve Georgetown voters in that precinct; and
WHEREAS, the Administrator has also prepared a Joint Elections Agreement for the
May 12, 2007 Election for consideration and approval by all of the entities participating in the
joint election, including the City of Georgetown; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Resolution No. 021307-GG to revise the Early
Voting Locations, name the Election Day Voting Precinct for Precinct 345; and to adopt the Joint
Elections Agreement.

The City Council has found that this action implements the following Century Plan Policy
Statements:
Policy Statement 14 A high level of cooperation and involvement exists among
Georgetown`s citizens and governmental organizations.
Policy Statement 16 Georgetown City Government will operate openly and under the
highest ethical standards.
The City Council further has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict with any
other Century Plan Policy Statements, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter
of the Policy Plan,
The Early Voting location listed in Resolution No. 021307-GG, Early Voting by Personal
Appearance, as "Round Rock Library, 216 E. Mayon Street, Round Rock, TX —WILL CHANGE,
" is hereby deleted and replaced with the following branch location:
Allen R. Baca Center, 301B W. Bagdad Street, Round Rock, Texas
The dates and hours of the new/replacement early voting location shall be the same as in
Resolution No. 021307-GG. All other early voting locations shall remain the same as in
Resolution No. 021307-GG.
Iri addition to the Election Day Voting locations for the precincts listed in Resolution No.
021307-GG, Election Day Voting for Precinct 345 shall be at First Baptist Church, 1333 W.
University Ave., on the date and at the times listed in Resolution No. 021307-GG.

The Joint Election Agreement attached hereto is hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized
and the City Secretary to attest.

Except as stated above, there are no other changes to Resolution No. 021307-GG, and all
provisions of Resolution No. 021307-GG that are not amended hereby shall remain in full force
and effect. The provisions of this Resolution are severable.
The Mayor of the City of Georgetown is authorized to execute and the City Secretary is
authorized to attest to this Order on behalf of the City Council; and the Mayor is further
authorized to do all other things legal and necessary in connection with the holding and
consummation of the General Election.
The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found to be
true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and made a part hereof, as if copied
verbatim.
This Order shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
