Williams Addition, Section One, Block 1, Lots 1 and 2, located at 211 West Central Drive and 1613
Williams Drive.
Charles Simon gave the staff report. Jimmy Umstattd, an agent for the applicant, was present and

Board. The Board requested Mr. Umstattd to address the speakers' concerns. Randy Howry addressed
the Board. Board members then resumed discussion among themselves. Mrs. Brock addressed the
Board again. After a lengthy discussion, Larry Brown made a motion to approve the variance based on
the following finding:
-It will not be contrary to the public interest, because safety will be enhanced by the removal of parked
cars on Central Drive and Williams Drive and tenants and visitors will have two (2) routes
that will provided better access to Williams Drive.
- and because a strict enforcement of the provisions of the ordinance would result in an unnecessary
hardship to this applicant being there is not safe access to the properties if they are
developed separately separate properties and it would be difficult for fire apparatus to
maneuver around vehicles parked on Central Drive.
-and such that the spirit of this ordinance shall be observed and substantial justice done subject to the
following limitations:
1. a speed bump shall be placed in the parking area.
2.Parking Space #7 must be eliminated.
3. A three (3) foot tall fence shall be placed between parking Space #6 and Williams Drive.
Linda Vaclavik seconded the motion which passed by a vote of 4-1.
3. Members reports and comments. None were made.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
