A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Agreement Regarding the
Establishment of the Agreed Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Property
Boundary between the City of Jarrell, Texas and the City of Georgetown,
Texas
WHEREAS, the City of Jarrell, Texas and the City of Georgetown, Texas wish to establish
Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) property boundary between the two municipalities, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42 023 of the Texas Local Government Code the cities of
Georgetown anc Jarrell have agrees upon the release of properties from the City of
Georgetown's ETJ to the City of Jarrell and to relinquish it's ETJ rights to such released
property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, wishes to enter into an Agreement regarding
Extraterritorial Jurisdiction property boundary by anc. between the City of Jarrell, l exas anc
the City of Georgetown, Texas, to establish said ETJ boundary.
Now Therefore, be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas:
That the said Agreement, being proper and according to law, shall be, and it is hereby,
g ranter; and, further, the Mayor is hereby authorized and directec to execute on behalf of the
id Agreement, a copy of same being attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated
erein for all purposes.
