RESOLUTION NO. I O D/0 al A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas Authorizing the Acceptance of an Allocation of Funds and Execution of a Grant Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation - Aviation Division, for an Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Matching Grant. WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is the owner of the Georgetown Municipal Airport; and WHEREAS, the City intends to make certain improvements to the Georgetown Municipal Airport, including the rehabilitation of the airport streets and the installation of taxiway identification signs (the "Project"); and WHEREAS, if awarded the grant, the City of Georgetown will be responsible for 50% of the total Project costs; and the total project costs are currently estimated to be S311,112.00; and WHEREAS, the Texas Departntent of Transportation requires the City to adopt a resolution authorizing the acceptance of an AIP Matching Grant; and WHEREAS, the CITY OF GEORGETOWN names the Texas Department of Transportation as its agent for the purposes of applying for, receiving and disbursing all funds for these improvements and for the administration of contracts necessary for the implementation of the Project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Georgetown that: SECTION 1. 1'he facts and recitations contained inthe preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements specific sections of the Georgetown Municipal Airport Functional Plan Element, and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with the City of Georgetown 2030 Comprehensive Plan. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes filmg an application for a state AIP Matching Grant for the Project. SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes accepting the allocation of state AIP Matching Funds for the Project. SECTION 4. The City Council hereby authorizes execution of an AIP Matching Grant Agreement for the Project. Resolution No {er1(7c( FAA AIP Grant Application Page I of 2 SECTION 5. The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign, and the City Secretary to attest, any documents required to apply for and accept these grant funds on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
