I Oc A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, Granting a Petition for Voluntary Annexation of Approximately 18.81 acres, more or less, in the L J. Dyches Survey, Abstract 180, for the Pierce Tract, located at 1000 F.M. 1460, Owned by Douglas Pierce; and Directing Publication of Notice and Public Hearings for Proposed Annexation WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing body of the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43 028, b5 written petition through a development agreement, properly acknowledged, to annex said area of land into the City of Georgetown, to -wit: All of that certain 18.81 acres, more or less, in the L J Dyches Survey, Abstract 180, for the Pierce Tract, located at 1000 F.M. 1460, that is more particularly described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A, ' and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "B," both of which Exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full; and WHEREAS, the said area of land, is contiguous to the existing city limits of the City of Georgetown, and is vacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing on it. NCW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS. That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and it is hereby, granted; and, further, the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public hearings to be held November 10, 2009, and on November 24, 2009 before the City Council on the subject of the proposed annexation of the saia area into the City of Georgetown; and further, to place upon the City Council Agendas for December 8, 2009, and on or before February 23,' 2010, the consideration of the passage of an ordinance annexing said area into the City of Georgetown. Garver, Mayor Legend Streets Parcels Pierce Tract City Limits 0 City of Georgetown Planning and Development Services Division: Draft Cartographic Data for Planning Purposes Only September21, 2009 625 1,250 2 500 Feet 1 inch = 1,000 feet Exhibit B Pierce Tract Voluntary Annexation • © f - F Metes and Bounds: Pierce Tract Voluntary Annexation All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in Williamson County, Texas, being 18.81 acres more or less out of the L J Dyches Survey, Abstract No. 180 in Williamson County, Texas, more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod in the West right-of-way line Farm to Market Road #1460 the SE corner of that certain tract conveyed by Bennie G. Hartman and wife, Myrtle Hartman to James H,. Fry and wife, Mary Lee Fry by deed dated June 28, 1962, recorded in Vol. 452, Page 284, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE with the S. line of said tract, S 70 deg. 30' W at 1393.7 feet past the S.E. corner of a 60 foot wide easement reserved out of said tract for possible use as a street, in all 1353.7 feet an iron rod for the S.W. corner of this tract. THENCE N. 19 deg. 30' W 755 feet to an iron pipe for the N.W. corner of this tract; THENCE N. 70 deg. 45 E at 60 feet past the N.E. corner of the 60 foot wide road easement, continue with the general line of an old fence along the N. line of the Dyches Survey and the N. line of the tract herein conveyed in all 959.8 feet more or less to the N.W. corner of a tract sold by James H. Fry et ux to James M. Rosser by deed dated February 15, 1965, recorded in book 475, Page 231, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE S 18 deg 46' E. at 340 feet past the S.W. corner of a tract now owned by Kennie Wilcox, Jr., continuing 470.8 feet in all to a stake for corner hereof; THENCE N 70 deg. 45 E 200 feet to the N.W. corner sold to Rueben Rosenblad and Elnora Rosenblad by deed recorded in Vol. 477, Page 75, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE S. 18 deg. 46' E. 105 feet to the S.W. corner of said Rosenblad tract; THENCE N. 70 deg. 45' E. 201 5 feet to the S.E. corner of said Rosenblad tract on the W line of said Farm to Market road; THENCE S. 19 deg. 23' E. a distance of 185 0 feet, more of less, with said W line of said Farm to Market Road to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and being all of the land conveyed by Bennie G. Hartman et ux to James H. Fry by deed dated June 28, 1962 recorded in Vol. 452 Page 284, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, less tracts conveyed to Kennie Wilcox Jr., James M. Rosser, Rueben Rosenblad by deeds recorded in Vol. 466, Page 422, Vol. 475, Page 321, Vol. 477, Page 75, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas and a tract reserved by James H. Fry between said Wilcox tract and Rosenblad tract, 130.8 feet by 400 feet in size, SAVE and EXCE1 1 a 60 foot easement off of the West side of the tract of land herein conveyed reserved by Bennie G. Hartman and Myrtle A. Hartman and also an easement 10 feet in width along the East side of the tract herein conveyed also reserved by Bennie G. Hartman and Myrtle A. Hartman and both further described in their said deed to Grantors herein recorded in Book 452, Page 284, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas to which reference is here made for further description of the same.
