A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN AUTHORIZING THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF A 20' PUBLIC UTILITY
EASEMENT ON LOT 3, BOUFFARD SUBDIVISION, A SUBDIVISION
OF RECORD IN CABINET P, SLIDE 395, PLAT RECORDS OF
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED AND ANY OTHER
DOCUMENTATION NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH VACATION
AND ABANDONMENT; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received a request for the vacation and
abandonment of a portion of a 20-foot-wide Public Utility Easement on Lot 3, Bouffard
Subdivision, a subdivision of record in Cabinet P, Slides 395, Plat Records of Williamson
County, Texas (the "Property"); said Public Utility Easement being further described by
metes and bounds and sketch attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, there are no utilities located within the Property that have not been
since located within recorded easements; and
WHEREAS, upon considering the request for vacation and abandonment of the
Property and additional information pertaining to the request, the City Council now finds
that a public need for the Property no longer exists and it may, therefore, be abandoned
and vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution
are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference
herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby
finds that this resolution implements the following policies of the 2030 Comprehensive
Plan:

Goal 4 1.B. Efficient, Responsive Government. We have created and enforced
innovative, effective and fair regulatory codes and development standards to guide and
improve development quality.
The City Council further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in
conflict with any other 2030 Comprehensive Plan Policies
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed
abandoning and vacating the Property in the form attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and any
other documentation necessary to effectuate the abandonment and vacation.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.

FIELD NOTES FOR 0.09 ACRES EASEMENT OUT OF THE A. FLORES SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 235 IN
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS. BEING A PORTION OF LOT 3 OF THE BOUFFARD SUBDIVISION AS
RECORDED IN CABINET P, SLIDE 395 OF THE OFFICIAL RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
SAID TRACT BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS.
BEGINNING at an iron rod that is the most northwesterly corner of said LOT 3 of the BOUFFORD
SUBDIVISION, same being the most northerly east corner of a 0.177 acres tract of land conveyed to E.C.
BOUFFORD as recorded in VOL. 2053, Pg. 166 and VOL. 1904, PG. 902, same being in the south R.O.W. of
COUNTY ROAD 151, of which no record information was found, and being the POINT OF COMMENCING.
THENCE with the north line of said LOT 3, same being the south R.O.W. of said COUNTY ROAD
151, N 70°00'00" E a distance of 300.00 feet to a calculated point being the northwest corner of this
tract and being the POINT OF BEGINNING for this easement.
THENCE crossing saki LOT 3, and leaving said R.O.W. of said COUNTY ROAD 151, S 17°01'13" W
a distance of 189.39 feet to a calculated point being the southwest corner of this easement, being in the
south line of said LOT 3, same being in the north line of LOT 1 of said BOUFFORD SUBDIVISION. From
which an iron rod is located for reference N 71°09'32" W a distance of 193.26 feet.
THENCE with the south line of said LOT 3, same being the north line of said LOT 1, S 71°09'32" E
a distance of 20.01 feet to a calculated point being the southeast corner of this easement, being in the
south line of said LOT 3, same being the north line of said LOT 1. From which an iron rod is located for
reference S 71°09'32" E a distance of 73.77 feet, being the southeast corner of said LOT 3, being in the
north line of said LOT 1, same being the southwest corner of LOT 2 of said BOUFFORD SUBDIVISION.
THENCE crossing said LOT 3, and leaving the north line of said LOT 1, N 17°01'13" E a distance of
205.21 feet to a calculated point being the northeast corner of this easement, being in the north line of
said LOT 3, same being in the south R.O.W. of said COUNTY ROAD 151. From which an iron rod is located
for reference N 70°00'00" E a distance of 99.50 feet being the northeast corner of said LOT 3, being in
the south R.O.W. of said COUNTY ROAD 151, same being the northwest corner of said LOT 1.
THENCE with the north line of said LOT 3, same being the south R.O.W. of COUNTY ROAD 151,
S 70°00'00" W a distance of 25.11 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing approximately 0.09
acres.

in Cabinet P, Slide 395, Plat Records, Williamson County, Texas; said 0.09 acres
being more fully described by metes and bounds and sketch on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof (the 'Property").
For the consideration, GRANTOR quitclaims to GRANTEE all of GRANTOR'S
right, title, and interestin and to the above described property, to have and to hold it to
GRANTEE, GRANTEE'S successors and assigns, forever. Neither GRANTOR nor
GRANTOR'S successors and assigns, shall have, claim or demand any right or title to
the property or any part of it.
