RESOLUTION NO. /77
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, Granting a
Petition for Voluntary Annexation of Approximately 72.89 acres, more or less, in the
J. Thompson Survey, Abstract 608, Owned by Dr. Michael Weir; and Directing
Publication of Notice and Public Hearings for Proposed Annexation
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing
body of the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028, by written
petition through a development agreement, properly acknowledged, to annex said area of land into
the City of Georgetown, to-wit:
All of that certain 72.89 acres, more or less, in the J. Thompson Survey, Abstract 608, north of RR 2243
and west of the Riverview Estates Subdivision, for Weir Ranch, that is more particularly described by
metes and bounds in Exhibit "A," and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "B," both of which
Exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full; and
WHEREAS, the said area of land, is contiguous to the existing city limits of the City of
Georgetown, and is vacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing
on it.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and it is hereby, granted;
and, further, the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public
hearings to be held April 8, 2008, and on April 22, 2008 before the City Council on the subject of the
proposed annexation of the said area into the City of Georgetown; and further, to place upon the
City Council Agendas for May 13, 2008, and on or before July 22. 2008, the consideration of the
passage of an ordinance annexing said area into the City of Georgetown.

OUT OF THE JOSEPH THOMPSON SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 608, WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
TEXAS; BEING A PORTION OF THOSE TRACTS OF
LAND AS CONVEYED TO A.C. WEIR PROPERTIES,
LTD. BY SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED RECORDED
IN DOCUMENT NO. 2005090431 OF THE OFFICIAL
PUBLIC RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
TEXAS; AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS
FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING at a %2" iron rod found on the northwest
right-of-way line of F.M. Highway 2243 at the southwest
corner of the Resubdivision of Riverview Estates, a
subdivision as recorded in Cabinet K, Slides 51-53 of the
Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, said iron rod
found also being on the east line of the above described

BEGINNING of the herein described tract;
THENCE, with the northwest right-of-way line of F.M. Highway 2243, the following
two (2) courses:
1) S 18°06'15" E a distance of 20.48 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set with cap stamped TERRA
FIRMA at the southeast corner of said A.C. Weir Properties, Ltd. Tract for the
southeast corner of this tract; and
2) S 59°34'32" W a distance of 767.23 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set with cap stamped TERRA
FIRMA for the southwest corner of this tract, from which a concrete highway marker
found on the northwest right-of-way line of F.M. Highway 2243 bears S 59°34'32" W
a distance of 583.28 feet;
THENCE the following seven (7) courses:
