Minutes & Board Action Minutes from the August 3, 2006 meeting were reviewed. A MOTION was made and seconded to approve the minutes as presented (Lesseps/Grimes). 3. Presentation by Konrad Bouffard of Classroom on Wheels - Tour of the Town Program Similar tour concept as Austin Duck Adventure Tour. Would focus on the historical aspects of the town. A MOTION was made to support the project and was seconded (Lesseps/Benold). Motion passed. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding new HOT Reimbursement Grant Follow-up Report by Randy Lesseps A MOTION was made and seconded to add the document as part of the HOT Reimbursement Grant application (Gould/Benold). Update from Board Task Forces a) Marketing- Reviewed proposed Marketing Plan outline. b) Local Awareness Campaign - met for discussion, but need some clarification of objectives. Are updating the civic groups contact list. c) Local Retail Shopping Mecca -Primary objective of this taskforce has been completed. d) Visitor Information Centers -The taskforce has requested to be included in planning of the new location for the Visitor Information Center. 5. Discussion regarding recommendation to staff to allocate portion of 2006-07 advertising budget to public relations efforts. 1/12 of advertising budget (as suggested by Jon Schallert) recommended to be allocated to public relations/publicity. A MOTION was made and seconded to accept the recommendation (Benold/Grimes). Motion carried. 5.
