HomeMy WebLinkAboutZelma Evans Day_12.10.11 P R O C L A M A T I O N WHEREAS, Zelma Evans of Georgetown is being honored for many years of faithful service to the Macedonia Baptist Church and the Georgetown community; and WHEREAS, Zelma Evans is the proud mother of two daughters, has three grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren; and WHEREAS, she has a great sense of humor, loves to travel and is a fabulous cook and has prepared many meals for friends, family and local churches; and WHEREAS, Zelma is a caretaker by nature who has provided home health care for both patients and family members for many years and continues to work in this capacity; and WHEREAS, she can frequently by found assisting young mothers with their children and is known as one of the best baby sitters in the church family; and WHEREAS, she is lovingly referred to as “Madea’s sister” or “Ms. Zelma” by all who know and love her; and WHEREAS, she is an inspiration to all who are privileged to know her and it is a pleasure to honor her at this time. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE GARVER, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, do hereby proclaim December 10, 2011 as ZELMA EVANS DAY in Georgetown, Texas
