The Driver of a vehicle involved ii-i any accident uraon any
'gh. ay or publi.c xpl.a.ce in, the City, resulting in the injury to or death
of any person, da ap. to any property, ano1nd3Lng damage to the vehicle being,
driven by him, shall notify or cause to be notified the police dexaartment
fo the city before such vehicle is removed from the scene of the accident,
and it shall be unlawful for the driver of a y vehicle involved. in a y such
accident to leave the scene of such accident or to remove such vehicle
from the scene of the accident or collision until authorized to do sea
by the police officer in chase of the investi= ation of such, accident, ex
cept when there is a, ditty on; the part of the driver to use such vehicle in
carryi n any person injured in. such accident to a �ah�; sa clan or surgeon
for medical. and surgical treatment or when necessary for the driver to
receive medical treatment.
It shall be unlawful for any person. to remove or attempt to
remove as y ve:h,a_ol.e involved in a Coll is �..on car accident, or i..xa a.ryy wa,,r
to interfere with or change the position of any such vehicle, except upon.
__.. authority or direction and in the presence of a, police pfficer, unless

such change is made or attempted for the purpose of releasing a, person
_? imprisoned within or under any such vela.icle involved in such colrlision, or
accident.

The provisions'of this Ordinance axe severable so that any
portion, hereof, w1hich mix h t be deemed to be void as a matter of law, shall
not affe t the validity of an, r other portion hereof.
