A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS APPOINTING ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE GEORGETOWN VILLAGE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 ADVISORY BOARD; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, by letter dated April 28 2004, Mark Pustka of the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No 1 Advisory Board (the 'Board'), advised the City that the Board requests to nominate two interested parties to become Alternates for the Board; and WHEREAS, the Board nominates Brian Ortego and Robert Brannon to the alternate positions; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public's best interest to make the appointments as recommended by the Board. N OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: S ECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements the following Century Plan Element: Governmental Affairs Policy End 15.00 — A high level of cooperation and involvement exists among Georgetown's citizens and the governmental organizations. And further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. S ECTION 2. The City. Council of the City of Georgetown hereby makes the following appointments to the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No 1 Advisory Board, and such appointments shall be effective in accordance with the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No. 1 Advisory Board Governing Rules dated November 10, 2001: Alternate — Brian Ortego, 301 Greenside Lane Alternate — Robert Brannon, 133 Village Commons Blvd. S ECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas this 11 th day of May, 2004.
