A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
GRANTING A PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY
158.19 ACRES OF LAND IN THE WILLIAM ADDISON SURVEY OWNED BY RISSA
LEE RODGERS PERSON REGINA LYN RODGERS CRAWFORD, ALICE BETH
RODGERS LEE, H.R. (BUD) LEE, AND MARK EDWARD.RODGERS; AND DIRECTING
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR PROPOSED
ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing
body of the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028, by written petition,
properly acknowledged, to annex said area of land into the City of Georgetown, to -wit:
All of that certain 158.19 acre tract, more or less, in the William Addison Survey that is more particularly
described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A,"and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "B "both
of which Exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full; and
WHEREAS, the said area of land is less than one-half mile in width, is contiguous to the existing city
limits of the City of Georgetown, and is vacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified
voters residing on it.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Tn�at the said Petition, being proper and according to lave, shai be. and it is hereby, granted; and,
further, the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public hearings to be
held August 10. 2004, and on August 17, 2004, before the City Council on the subject of the proposed
annexation of the said area .into the City of Georgetown; and further, to place upon the City Council
Agendas for September 14, 2004, and on or before November 23, 2004, the consideration of the passage
of an ordinance annexing said area into the City of Georgetown.

All that certain tract or parcel of land situated in Williamson County, Texas, out of the William Addison
Survey, Abstract No. 21 and being those tracts described as First Tract (50.7 acres), Second Tract (I acre),
Third Tract (171/2 acres), Fourth Tract (65.2 acres), Fifth Tract (36.9 acres), and Sixth tract (20 acres, more
or less) in a Deed granting an undivided three and one-half percent (3 '/z%) interest to Mice Beth Rodgers,
dated December 16, 1974 and recorded in Volume 601, Page 202 of Deed Records Williamson County,
said First Tract, Second Tract, Third Tract, Fourth Tract, Fifth Tract, and Sixth tract being the same tracts
subsequently described in the following deeds, an undivided three and one-half percent (3 'A%) interest
granted to Alice Beth Rodgers, dated February 12, 1975 and recorded in Volume 604, Page 845 of said
deed records, an undivided three and one-half percent (3 ''/%) interest granted to Alice Beth Rodgers, dated
January 21, 1976 and recorded in Volume 627, Page 163 of said deed records, and an undivided eighty-nine
and one-half percent (89 %z%) interest granted to Alice Beth Rodgers, dated December 1, 1980 and
recorded in Volume 817, Page 740 of said deed records, save and except the following two (2) tracts, 17.24
acres out of said Third Tract, and 0.58 acres granted to the State of Texas in a Right -of -Way Deed dated
April 20, 1959 and recorded in Volume 430, Page433 and further described by metes and bounds as
follows:

BEGINNING at a'' 'A" iron pin found in the East line of Farm to Market Highway No. 1460, an 80-foot
right-of-way, for the called Southwest comer of that tract described as 236 41 acres in a Warranty Deed
granted to Georgetown Railroad Company, Inc., dated February 29, 1988 and recorded in Volume 1638,
Page 369 of Official Records Williamson County, the occupied Northeast corner of said State of Texas
tract, and the Northwest comer of this tract;
'f}IENCE: N 68°05' I6" E 661.81 feet with the South line of said Georgetown Railroad Company, Inc.
tract to a'/r" iron pin set with a yellow plastic cap inscribed "CCC 4835" adjacent to the common Northeast
comer of said Second Tract and the Northwest corner of said First Tract, for an angle point of said
Georgetown Railroad Company, Inc. tract and this tract;
THENCE: continuing along the monumented Southeast line of said Georgetown Railroad Company, Inc.
tract in the following four (4) courses,
1. N 35°02' 10" E 387.28 feet to a /" iron pin found,
2. N 22°55'50" E 91.93 feet to a 'A" iron pin found,
3. N 33°16'29" E 1987.11 feet to a'/" iron pin found adjacent to a called point in the West line
of that tract described as 38.069 acres (Parcel No. 6) in a Special Warranty Deed granted to
the City of Georgetown, dated November 21, 1990 and recorded in Volume 1970, Page 497 of
said official records, said City of Georgetown tract formerly known as the Missouri., Kansas
and Texas Railroad Co. right-of-way, for the called most Easterly Southeast corner of said
rgetown Railroad Company, Inc. tract and,
4. N 32°24'49" E 55.93 feet with an offset of the West line of said City of Georgetown tract to
a W' iron pin found with a 1'A" diameter aluminum cap inscribed "SDHP1' PT NO 8233"
adjacent to the Northeast corner of said First Tract, for an angle point in the West fine of said
City of Georgetown tract, and the Northeast corner of this tract;
TIIENCE: along the monumented West line of said City of Georgetown tract in the following five (5)
Courses,
I. S 28°09'O8" E 1748.63 feet, this course being the basis for the bearings cited hereon, to a S "
iron pin found with a 1'A" diameter aluminum cap inscribed "SDHPT PT NO 8339" adjacent
to the Southeast corner of said First Tract,
2. offset S 69°05'00" W, at 38.36 feet crossing a wire fence, in all 45.19 feet to a '/A" iron pin
found with a I Yi" diameter aluminum cap inscribed "SDHPT PT NO 8235" adjacent to the
Northeast corner of said Sixth Tract,
3. S 28°09'20" E 2888.97 feet to a 'A" iron pin found with a I' 'A" diameter aluminum cap

said Mickan tract and the Southeast comer of that tract described as 26.00 acres in a Warranty
Deed granted to LIN Television of Texas, L.P., dated Augast 12, 1999 and recorded as
Document No. 199955597 of said official records,
N 20°22' 13" W 979.02 feet with the East line of said LIN Television of Texas, L.P. tract to a
%r" iron pin found adjacent to the Southeast corner of said Third Tract for the Northeast comer
of said LIN Television of Texas L.P. tract and,
3. N 20°22' 13" W 1313.26 feet adjacent to the common Eas line of aid Third brad and the
West line of said Fourth Tract to a 'A" iron pin set with a yellow plastic cap inscribed "CCC
4835" for an interior comer of this tract;
THENCE: along the most Westerly South line of this tract in fire following four (4) courses,
1. S 71°07'34" W 591.59 feet across said Third Tract to a' A" iron pin found on the Northeast
side of a fence comer, adjacent to the Northwest corner of said Third Tract, in the called East
line of that tract described as 9 69 acres in a Deal granted to Robert C. Williamson, tux,
dated January 19, 1963 and recorded in Volume 457, Page 315 of said dead rents, and
continuing with the Eau line of said Williamson tract,
S 71°07'34' W 47.71 feet to a wood fence post adjacent to the Southwest corner of mid First
Tract, a 'A" iron pin set on the Northeast side of said farce pars. with a yellow plastic cap
inscribed "CcC 4835".

point of Beginning and containing 158.19 acres of land.
