HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 121404-FF - Create Wilco MUD 15Qsolo11 I a 14o4 FF A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE CONSENT OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, TO THE CREATION OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 15 WITHIN THE CITY'S EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown (the "City") received a Petition for Consent to the Creation of a MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT on land currently located in the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, Section 54 016 of the Texas Water Code and Section 42.042 of the Local Government Code provide that land within a municipality's extraterritorial jurisdiction may not be included within a district without the municipality's written consent, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: That the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, gives its written consent to the creation of the Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 15 on 358 acres of land described in the attached Exhibit A.
