A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE NOMINATION OF A
CANDIDATE FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY
APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is a taxing entity located within Williamson County;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is asked by the Williamson County Appraisal District
to nominate a candidate for membership on the Williamson County Appraisal District Board of
Directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, a s i f c opied v erbatim. T he C ity C ouncil h ereby f inds t hat t his
resolution implements the following policy or policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element:
1. Governmental Affairs Policy End 6.0, which states: "A high level of
cooperation and involvement exists among Georgetown's citizens and
governmental organizations."
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas hereby nominates: Hairy
Gibbs to stand as a candidate for election to the Williamson County Appraisal District Board of
Directors.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest
thereto this resolution on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
