CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM
Meeting Called to order at 8:08am by Board Chairman Bryant Boyd
Present were: Bryant Boyd Chairman, Bob Weimer Secretary, Ellie Skross,
Liz Atherton, Shannon Baldridge Main Street Manager.
Prior meetings minutes were read, Liz Atherton offered approval with Ellie Skross
STAFF REPORT: Shannon Baldridge stated she would update what Georgetown’s past
managers had done to introduce new businesses to Georgetown. A brief discussion
surrounding the Façade Fund and how we need to use this as a positive PR effort.
Shannon reported her last day of employment would be Dec. 19, 2003 and that a
replacement should be in place by then and will be trained by Shannon.
A council workshop is on Oct 27th @ 4pm..Bryant requested a brief non-quorum meeting
30 minutes prior to update members on the Main Street / Council agenda.
Shannon was applauded for the new Banners around the Square. They project the charm
of our downtown.
Bob Weimer indicated that the managed parking meeting was postponed. Other cities
have e-mailed Georgetown and said they use, 2Hour parking coupons, Valet parking and
increased the Handicap parking to promote a positive parking plan. Future discussions
will continue.
Liz Atherton spearheaded a discussion on “Branding” the city of Georgetown. A new
city logo and or slogan could be used on all promotional material and billboards. All
would carry the same theme. GISD students and Southwestern Students could be used to
come up with a creative slogan or logo.
Bryant lead a brief discussion that will implement a sharing of board members on our
other city committees. Main Street, EDC, CVB, DGA etc. We can all learn from each
others ideas to help promote the growth of Georgetown.
Shannon will revise the agenda items to keep us on more current issues and to eliminate
repetitive discussions. Red Poppy Fest for 2004 is scheduled for April 23 through April
25 2004. More information as it becomes available.

GEORGETOWN MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD
The Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown will meet at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October
16, 2003 in the First Floor Conference Room at City Hall, located at 113 E. 8th Street, Georgetown,
Texas. Items to be addressed are as follows:
MISSION STATEMENT
The Georgetown Main Street Program is a revitalization program designed to enhance the unique
character of the downtown through historic preservation and community involvement, while at the same
time promoting downtown, providing educational and technical assistance to business and property
owners, and maintaining the beauty of Georgetown.
AGENDA
1. Call to order
2. Accept / reject September 18th minutes
3. Staff Report
4. Discussion and possible action regarding managed parking report from Bob Weimer.
5. Discussion and possible action regarding Main Street brochure.
6. Discussion and possible action regarding joint membership position of the Main Street
Advisory Board and the Economic Development Commission.
7. Discussion and possible action regarding allocation for budget and funding for the
downtown master plan.
8. Discussion and possible action regarding county issues.
9. Discussion and possible action regarding status reports from sub-committees and work to
be completed:
a. Plans for establishment of development corporation / authority
b. Plans for 2004 Red Poppy Festival
c. Façade Fund Application Update
d. Provision of education and technical assistance services - façade grant workshop
e. Development of business recruitment assistance information
f. Plans for Tax Increment Financing Zone

The Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on Thursday , October 16, 2003.
Board Members Present:
