MINUTES 8:30 A.M. — FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2012 WILLIAMSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE 2' -' FLOOR NORTH CONFERENCE ROOM, GEORGETOWN, TEXAS Board Members Present: Julie Laderach, Denise Jimenez, Linda McCalla, Amanda Parr, Sue Raguse, Marcy Urban Board Member Absent: Karin Truxillo City Staff Present: Shelly Hargrove, Main Street Manager and Robbie Wyler, Historic District Planner 1. The meeting was called to order at 8:34 a.m. by Board Chair Denise Jimenez. 2. New board member Julie Laderach was introduced to the board and city staff present. 3. Denise moved to approve the November 11th minutes, Linda seconded. All board members present voted to approve (6-0). 4. Robbie gave an update for HARC. He mentioned the CAMP training being held in Georgetown at the Library on March 26-27. He also discussed a reception on that Monday night in the Williamson County Courthouse. 50/50 Restaurant and Wine Bar has submitted for new signage. 5. Staff Report: Shelly reported that reinforcement of the floor at 101 W. 7h St. is taking place before Grape Creek Vineyards can take over the building. Grape Creek is working on the design for the building. Discussion of upcoming THC Main Street Board Training was discussed, and Thursday, April 5 was decided since there were several meeting conflicts on other April dates. 6. Committee Reports: d. Economic Restructuring: Marcy discussed the McKinney Main Street visit that a team of 11 was taking to learn from McKinney's downtown successes. First Breakfast Bites is being lead by city staff to cover progress on implementing the IF Downtown Market Study as well as new downtown developments for 2012. Design: Amanda discussed wanting to do a window workshop for the July Breakfast Bites to encourage better windows during the holidays for a possible contest. Also discussion for the scene for the 2012 Christmas ornament instead of just a single building since it wasn't a good seller this year. Also, wanting to find out the possibility of doing a mural on the red brick wall of Balance Spa on Main Street. Linda discussed "Light Up the Square" campaign to look at lighting up oaks one block off the square in each direction. ➢ Joint Arts & Culture: Marcy gave update on Chamber Arts Alliance group and of pilot arts center program in the old firehouse when fire administration moves out. c. Organization: Marcy mentioned getting a yellow SU bike in downtown and adding signage to it to raise awareness about us being a college town. d. Promotion: Denise mentioned about board members needing to start collecting 100 wine bottles for Main Street's half. Tickets are coming soon to sell. Wineries have been confirmed, restaurants and retailers are still needed. 7.
