DIVISION IV, SECTION 6-39.44 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF GEORGETOWN BY CHANGING THE PERMIT FEES FOR THE
ISSUANCE OF ELECTRICAL WORK PERMITS
WHEREAS, The City of Georgetown did enact an Ordinance No. 79-9
that established administrative and regulatory procedure and require-
ments for the issuance of electrical work permits, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance was subsequently incorporated in the City Code
Article 11, and
Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Georgetown
that Section 6-39.44 of the City Code be amended as follows:
The following fees shall be paid to the city for the issuance of electrical
work permits:

(g) Reinspection fee: This fee is charged when
work is rejected on the first inspection and
each subsequent inspection 15.00
(h) Construction power service 4.50
(i) Vaporproof light on each pole, each 2.00
(j) Temporary installations: Carnivals or similar
temporary installations for amusement, show,
display or similar uses shall be charged for at
the rate of $25.00 for the installation of 10 kva
or less, and all additional kva shall be charged
for at the rate of $1.00 per kva. For the purpose
of fees for this classification one horsepower
of motor load shall be considered as one kva.
(k) Transformers, light and/or power or welding:
(1) Up to and including 7f kva, each

New locations: Inspection fee for houses or
buildings moved on lot, each

Unprescribed installations: For the inspection of
installations and other electrical work for which
no fee is prescribed or otherwise provided, the
city electrical inspector shall assess a fee for
the permit to be determined by the amount of time
necessary for a proper inspection at the rate of
$15.00 per hour or fraction thereof.

Penalty: In case any work, for which a permit is
required by this chapter, is started prior to
obtaining said permit, the fee above specified
shall be doubled. The payment of such doubled
fee shall not relieve any person from fully
complying with the requirements of this chapter
in the execution of work nor from other penalties
prescribed herein.
