Consideration of approval of minutes for the regular Commission meeting held on January 21, 2002 David Galloway motion to approve the minutes. Richard Lenning seconded , PASSED 5-0 Executive Session In compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon’s Texas Code, Annotated, the item below will be discussed in closed session: 2. Section 551.071 consultation with attorney 3. Action from Executive Session. No action taken 4. Presentation, public review and possible action on recommending to the City Council of Georgetown, for the adoption of the 2000 International Building, Fire, Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes. IBC is the commercial codes. Dave handed out documents and discussed with the board that this is an introduction to what will be going on the next few months. He would like to begin updating our commercial codes. He explains that the 2000 Codes are a combination of all the past codes. He informs the board that Tom Leggitt, Fire Chief will be an invited speaker to discuss the fire code issues. He reassures the board that there is not a mandatory time frame but wants to make it a priority. He feels it will be helpful with the upcoming Commercial sites that are going to be built in the near future. 5. Suggested items for next regularly scheduled meeting. Update on the dangerous structures on Eubank and Central Metal Building on Holly & 3rd Plus deep hole that has been there for years. Someone needs to turn it into Code. Bob will talk to Code Enforcement to check into the situation . 6. Meeting adjourns Jim motions to adjourn, Cheryl Nunn seconds PASSED 5-0
