Present at meeting,
Kent Huntsman, Posy, Bill Lipscomb, Carolyn Martin, Mike Martin, Jennifer Stephens,
John Wiley, James, Martha, Ellen, and Scherry
Meeting called to order by Chairman Huntsman.
Gary Neilon introduced and welcomed Shannan, ____, Tourism Director.
Brenda Wheeler (artworks Ad agency gave a presentation on the Blue Grass Festival and
passed out a draft of an advertising plan for the event.
Discussion and questions by commissioners followed.
Posey introduced Sherry Carol to lead an exercise in Team Building,
"How to improve your people and task skills."
Kent and Charlie presented the goals and objectives of the CVB. An open floor
discussion on the Mission statement occurred.
A discussion of collaborating with other Georgetown or Williamson County entities and
boards to find out how we can piggyback on ideas, events from their organization that
will increase HOT Sales and taxes.
Charlie Walker gave a presentation on the HOT money and the CVB Budget.
Charlie answered question by commission.
Benchmarks were handed out and discussed. Discussion of Bluegrass Festival followed
and a small committee was named to include Posy, John, Shannon, Verna and Scherry
and Martha. A meeting was set for 7:30 am for the following Monday at Southwestern U.
commons.
Motion was made by Bill Lipscombe to adjourn seconded by Jim Timmons.
