Convention and Visitors Bureau Board Members: Nancy Benold, Stephanie Blanck, Steven Harris, Cari Miller, Don McCullough, Shelly Patel, Georgene Richaud, Bob Villarreal Convention and Visitors Bureau Board meets every second Friday of the month unless otherwise specified. Preserve, promote and enhance the cultural heritage and unique character of the community. Attract visitors to maximize the financial impact of tourism on the community. Stevens, Chris Docal, Rolando Roman, Nancy Knight, Mickie Ross, and Milton Van Dusen Welcome /Call to order by: Georgene Richaud ,Chair, at 8:35 AM Discussion and possible action: Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the July 12, 2013 minutes - Don McC. moved they be approved as written, Shelley P. seconded - approved Hotel Occupancy Tax Reimbursement Grant Applicant Presentations - Written Grant proposals were distributed and presentations were made to the CVB by the following (each organization had a 5 minute time limit to present plus 5 minutes follow up questions): GHS Soccer UIL Tournament - Chris Docal and PJ Stevens Georgetown High School Soccer Governor's Cup - Chris Docal and PJ Stevens Cyclocross - Rolando Roman Georgetown/Williamson Museum Quilt Festival - Nancy Knight Williamson Museum Chisholm Trail - Mickie Ross Jack Frost Basketball - Milton Van Dusen Fury Basketball - Milton Van Dusen Tx Half Century Softball - could not attend 8/2/13 ® Discussion and possible action regarding the following Hotel Occupancy Tax Reimbursement Grant Applications- discussion will be at the next meeting on Sept 6th. Everyone will review grant applications and make a preliminary recommendations at that time. Further discussion will be held. ® Discussion and possible action regarding CVB Goals & Objectives Most of the CVB have taken the Cavern Tour and the Golf Cart tour of the trails. A visit to the Williamson County Courthouse will take place after this meeting. Further discussion will be held Sept. 6th.
