Taxis is regular meeting of the Housing Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown. TFre Board,
appointed by the Mayor and the City Council, makes recommendations to th¢ City Council on
affordable hosssing matters.

The meetirxg was called to order at 3:33 by Todd_

1. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from the April 19, 2013 meeting.
Motion to approv¢ Lhe minutes by Mullikin, second by Gambone. Approved 6 -O
2, Discussion o eating an mplementarion plan to designate areas For affordable mulb-
Eamfly development (Recommendarion #2).
Prior to meeting Bills provided maps consisting of 14 areas to help e e potential
multifamily sites. There were four main criteria's that were c side ed: distance from
retail services, dstance From employment areas, water and electric service territories,
and aiky limits.
Other information provided on the maps For consideration is the exis Haig and proposed
transportation network, a isring sidewalks; and ]oca bons. of existing apartment and
multifamily zoning district.
There was dtscussion and c regarding ar as m the flood plain. Members felt that
m the flood plain would be less suitable to be preferable affordable housing
locations due to increased development costs and future potenxial hazards.

Bills will update and reeonffgure maps based on flood plain before redistributing.
Board agreed to eliminate Area 2 altogether.

Todd asked Barton to discuss the development of Longhorn Junction.
3. Update from staff on Gateway Northwest Apartments.
Todd explains the Housing Au Lhority and the City has donee erything HUD has asked
t}lem to do. According to. HUD @rat's not enough and is requesting the City coma up
with another $380,000.00 in impact fee w The City Manager, Paul Brandenburg
has aaaressea the s:ruation with IitrD stat;ng the ciry wul not waive impact fees.
