Board Members Present: Rick Smith, Bob Weimer, Billy Kurtz, John Marler, John Kiltz, Darrick McGill Board Members Absent: Austin Bryan Staff Present: Mark Thomas, Tina Dunbar Minutes Regular Meeting Call to order – 1:43 Discussion and possible action on the minutes from the March, 31, 2009 meeting Unanimously approved (motion Weimer, second Marler) Discussion and possible action on and liaison roles and areas of focus. Chair Smith discussed liaison roles and encouraged members to bring ideas and reports from their focus areas to future meetings. Discussion was held on the make up and focus of other boards. Further discussion was held on the purpose and vision of this board, Georgetown, and individual focus areas. Kiltz presented his ideas on board focus areas and the need for member education on issues to properly address issues. Discussion and possible action on Staff report Mark Thomas provided an update on recent projects including the fire station. Unanimously approved (motion Weimer, second McGill) Introduction of Staff, new Board Members, previous Board Members and accomplishments. After introductions Chair Smith presented information on the history and work of the Board to the new Board Members. Discussion and possible action on Board Officers and liaison roles. Chair Smith explained liaison categories and assigned roles to new Members. Discussion was held on past liaison projects and future opportunities. Discussion and possible action on Staff report Mark Thomas provided information on the downtown winery plan, the TLCC, Citigroup, and the retention program.
