A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
GRANTING A PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 11..67
ACRES OF LAND IN THE JOSEPH. B. PULSIFER SURVEY OWNED BY THE VAN AND
DEBORAH CHANDLER FOUNDATION; AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE AND
PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing body of
the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028, by written petition, properly
acknowledged, to annex said area of land into the City of Georgetown, to -wit:
All of that certain 11.67 acre tract in the Joseph B. Pulsifer Survey that is more particularly described by metes
and bounds in Exhibit ",A, "and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "B, "both of which Exhibits are
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full; and
WHEREAS, the said area of land is less than one -half mile in width, is contiguous to the existing city limits
of the City of Georgetown, and is vacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing on
it.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS:
That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and it is hereby, granted; and, further,
the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public hearings to be held October 8,
2002, and on October 22, 2002, before the City Council on the subject of the proposed annexation of the said
area into the City of Georgetown; and further, to place upon the City Council Agendas for November 12, 2002,
and November 26, 2002, the consideration of the passage of an ordinance annexing said area into the City of
Georgetown.

DESCRIPTION FOR JOE B. MCMASTER
BEING 11.67 acres of the J.B. Pulsifer Survey, Abstract No.
498, in Williamson County, Texas; including a tract which was
called 11-276 acres and described in a deed to Joe B. McMaster
recorded in Vol. 1589, Pg. 195, Official Records of Williamson
County, Texas; a tract called 0.438 acres as described in a prior
description (existing in my files) dated September 5, 1984,
(exhibit referred to by acreage but not attached in referenced
deed) as cited by reference only in Vol. 1589, Pg. 195,(Iies in
channel of San Gabriel River) and including a portion of Spring
Valley Road (see record plat of Oak Crest Estates, Riverside Unit,
Cab. B, Slide 154), which is no longer open to public traffic.
Records regarding any road closing that was done have not been
researched as a part of this survey. For the replacement right-of-
way currently in use as a put)lic roadway see Vol. 989, Pg. 627.
This description has been prepared from record information to
combine two tracts surveyed in 1987 with a portion of a roadway as
surveyed in June of 1997, by Wm. F. Forest, R.P.L.S. No. 1847.
BEGINNING at an iron pin which was found at the most Easterly
Northwest corner of the said 11.276 acre tract described in Vol.
1589, Pg. 195. This point exists at the Southeast corner of Lot 29
in Block 2 of Oak Crest Estates, Riverside Unit, a subdivision plat
which is recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 154, Plat Records, and at the
Southwest corner of a 0.5 acre parcel conveyed to Homer Latson in
Vol. 1079, Pg. 730.
THENCE with the boundary of the said 11.276 acre tract as
marked on the ground, N 83 deg. 08 min. 10 sec. E at 191.10 feet
pass an iron pin found on the West bank of the San Gabriel River, i
at the Northwest corner of the said 0.488 acre tract, continuing n
all 218.5 feet to a submerged point in the channel of the river.
THENCE downstream S 27 deg. 49 min. 13 sec. E 855.17 feet.

of the curve; (4) N 69 deg. 05 min. 09 sec. W 76.52 feet to the
beginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 418.78 feet, a
delta of 30 deg. 51 min. 4111 and a tangent of 115.59 feet; and
(5) 225.57 feet with the arc of the curve, the chord bears N 84
deg. 30 min. 58 sec. W 222.85 feet to the end of the curve.
