GRANTING A PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 100.00
ACRES OF LAND IN THE WILLIAM &DD|SCJNSURVEY OWNED BYCOTFENVVO[)DCREEK
DEVELOPMENT; AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION QF NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR
PROPOSED ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing body of
the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028, by written petition, properly
acknowledged, to annex said area of land into the City of Georgetown, to-wit:
All of that certain 10I0Uacre tract in the Williams AddiskonSurvey that is more particularly described bymetes
and bounds in Exhibit 'A" and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "B,"both of which Exhibits are
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full; and
WHEREAS, the said area of land k] less than one-half mile hl width, ka contiguous to the existing city limits
of the City of Georgetown, and knvacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing on
NOW THEREFORE, BE|T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFGEORGETOWN,
That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and bio hereby, granted; and, further,
the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public hearings tobe held October 8.
2002, and on October 22, 2002, before the City Council on the subject of the proposed annexation of the said
area into the City of Georgetown; and further, to place upon the City Council Agendas for November 12'2OO2.
and November 26, 2002, the consideration of the passage of an ordinance annexing said area into the City of
Georgetown.

A 100.40 acre tract or parcel of land out of the William Addison. Survey, Abstract No21,
in Williamson County, Texas, as conveyed to John E. Lax, Sr. and Dorothy E. Dytrith,

recorded in Book 682 Page 494 of the Williamson County Deed Records, more
Particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:

Beginning at an iron pipe found for the Northeast corner of 19.06 acres of land as
described in the Contract of Sale and Purchase from the Veterans Land Board of Texas as
recorded in Book 542 Page 516 of the Williamson County Deed Records for the
Southeast corner of the herein described tract of land.
Thence with the North line of said 19.06 acre tract of land the following three courses,
' S700 09' 21 "W a distance of 598.17 feet to a found iron rod, 5700 09' 50W a distance of
466.52 feet to a found iron rod and S691 29' 25 "W a distance of 596.70 feet to a 60d nail
found at a railroad tie fence post in the East right -of -way line of the M.K. &T. Railroad as
described in Special Warranty Deed to the City of Gcorgetowu recorded in Volume 1970
Page 497 of the Williams Coutrty official Records, for the Southwest corner herein.
Thence with the said East right-of-way line N26 °44'32 "W a distance of 2435.11 feet to a
iron rod found in the South line of a 154.79 acre tract of land as conveyed to John
Dimmitt Hughes and recorded in Volume 276 Page 49 of the Williamson County Deed
Records, for the Northwest corner herein.
Thence with the South line of said 154.79 acre tract N70 °01'41 "E a distance of 1946.74
feet to a iron rod found for an ell comer of said 154.79 acre tract and the Northeast corder
he,reiza.
Thence with the West flue of said 154.79 acre tract S20 °00'44'"E a distance of 2414.97
feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 100.00 acres, more or less, of land
