HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 100802-R-1 - ANX Clement StubblefieldOFIRS-=* /000424-/ WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing body of the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028, by written petition, properly acknowledged, to annex said area of land into the City of Georgetown, to-wit: All of that certain 0.68 acre tract in the Clement Stubblefield Survey that is more particularly described by metes and bounds in Exhibit'A"and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "C,"both of which Exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full; and WHEREAS, the said area of land is less than one-half mile in width, is contiguous to the existing city limits of the City of Georgetown, and is vacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing on it. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and it is hereby, granted; and, further, the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public hearings to be held October 8, 2002, and on October 22, 2002, before the City Council on the subject of the proposed annexation of the said area into the City of Georgetown; and further, to place upon the City Council Agendas for November 12, 2002, and November 26, 2002, the consideration of the passage of an ordinance annexing said area into the City of Georgetown. Wolf, by deed as recorded in Volume 422, Page 84 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. Surveyed on the ground in the month of February, 1984, under the supervision of R.T. Magness, Jr., Registered Public Surveyor, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin set for the N.W. comer hereof, said point being N 89* 30' E, 1674.28 feet; S 1'26' W, 995.42 feet-, S 29* 24' W, 190.01 feet; and 72' 49- 30-1 W, 1333.45 feet from the most northerly N.W. comer of the above - referenced 412-acre tract; said most northerly N. W. comer being marked by an iron pin set at a fence comer on the South line of State Highway No. 29, at or near the North line of the Clement Stubblefield Survey, Abstract No. 558; THENCE S 72 49' 30" E, 164.15 feet to an iron pin set for the N.E. comer hereof, THENCE S 23 15' W, 182.47 feet to an iron pin set, for the S.E. comer hereof, THENCE 'N 68' 35' W, 170.70 feet to an iron Din set, for the S.W. comer hereof THENCE N 25 * 44' E, 170.70 feet to the place of BEGINNING and containing 0.68 of an acre of land. NOTE: The above- described 0.68 of an acre of land has access to State Highway No. 29 along a30- foot-wide access easement being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin set, for the N.E. comer of the said 0.68 of an acre tract, for the S.E. comer hereof, THENCE N 72* 49' 30" W, 30.70 feet to an iron pin set, for the S.W. comer hereof; THENCE N 29* 24' E, 190.01 feet to an iron P in set, and N I' 26' E 995.42 feet to an iron pin set on the South line of State Highway No. 29. for the N-W. comer hereof.
