A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL • THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT •
LOCAL WRITTEN COMPLAINT PROCEDURES FOR ITS TEXAS
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City has obtained a grant through the Texas Community
Development Program for the improvement of the water line on Austin Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Department requires adoption of this resolution in accordance
with Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs procedures;
WHEREAS, it is hereby declared that the City of Georgetown establish local
written Citizen Complaint Procedures regarding its Texas Community Development
Program (TCDP), and
WHEREAS, it is hereby declared that establishment of such procedures requires
the designation of a person to receive and respond to such complaints; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Georgetown to investigate complaints
about proposed TCDP activities or implementation of past TCDP assisted activities; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of
Georgetown:
1. That the City adopt the attached citizen complaint handling
procedures.
2. The City designate the City Manager as the Community Development
Citizen Coordinator.
3. That the City direct the Community Development Citizen Coordinator
to receive and respond to complaints.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this
resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated
by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City
Council hereby finds that this resolution implements the Facilities and Services
component of the Century Plan — Policy Plan Element, which states: "it is important that
adequate water pressure and volume be available to all customers throughout the water
service area," and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or
in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the
Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this Resolution and the City
Secretary to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
