WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown did enter into o Lease Agreement for certain Airport
property with the Texas Society of Aeronautics, Inc., on July 11, 1978; and,
WHEREAS, this Lease Agreement was assigned to the Apollo Composite Squadron,
Texas Wing, Civil Air Patrol on February 13, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, this lease assignment was amended on November 10. 1898; and;
WHEREAS, the Civil Air Patrol has requested that their leased premises ba reduced bv
1056.39 SQ. FT. To accommodate corporate expansion; and,
WHEREAS, the Council finds that this lease amendment is in the best interest of the City;

WHEREAS, the Airport Advisory Board did recommend that the Council approve this
amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made e part hereof, osif copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this
resolution implements 12.Oof the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states:
"Georgetown's transportation system provides for the aaha and efficient movement of traffic,
promotes the economic interests of the community, and adequately serves the needs of
individuals"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Po|ioiee, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of
the Policy Plan.
Sf=CTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized bx execute, and the City Secretary to
attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown, Addendum No. 2 to the Lease Agreement
between the,.,,City and the Apollo Composite Squadron.
