An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
amending part of the Official Zoning Map to 108.565 acres in the Francis
Hudson and J.S. Patterson Surveys, from Agriculture (AG) District and
Residential Single-family (RS) District to Public Facility (PF) District, to be
known as Celebration Church; repealing conflicting ordinances and
resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective
date.
Whereas, an application has been made to the City for the purpose of amending the
Official Zoning Map, adopted on the 121h day of June, 2012, for the specific Zoning District
classification of the following described real property ("The Property"):
108.565 acres in the Francis Hudson and J.S. Patterson Surveys, as recorded in
Document Numbers 2005003123 and 2005003124 of the Official Public Records of
Williamson County, Texas, hereinafter referred to as "The Property"; and
Whereas, the City Council has submitted the proposed amendment to the Official
Zoning Map to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration at a public hearing
and for its recommendation or report; and
Whereas, public notice of such hearing was accomplished in accordance with State Law
and the City's Unified Development Code through newspaper publication, signs posted on the
Property, and mailed notice to nearby property owners; and
Whereas, the Planning and Zoning Commission, at a meeting on May 20, 2014 held the
required public hearing and submitted a recommendation of approval to the City Council for
the requested rezoning of the Property; and
Whereas, the City Council, at a meeting on May 27, 2014, held an additional public
hearing prior to taking action on the requested rezoning of the Property.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
that:
Section 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this Ordinance are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this
Ordinance implements the vision, goals, and policies of the Georgetown 2030 Comprehensive
Plan and further finds that the enactment of this Ordinance is not inconsistent or in conflict with
any other policies or provisions of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan and the City's Unified
Development Code.

Section 2. The Official Zoning Map, as well as the Zoning District classification(s) for the
Property is hereby amended from the Agriculture (AG) District and Residential Single-family
(RS) District to Public Facility (PF) District, in accordance with the attached Exhibit A (Location
Map) and Exhibit B (Field Notes) incorporated herein by reference.
Section 3. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances and resolutions, in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed, and are no longer of any force and effect.
Section 4. If any provision of this Ordinance or application thereof to any person or
circumstance shall be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions, or
application thereof, of this Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared to be
severable.
Section 5. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this ordinance and the City Secretary
to attest. This ordinance shall become effective in accordance with the provisions of state law
and the City Charter of the City of Georgetown.

BEING 59.56 acres of land, situated in the Francis A. Hudson Survey, Abstract No. 295 and the J. S.
Patterson Survey, Abstract No. 502, in Williamson County, Texas, said land being a portion of that
certain First Tract and Second Tract, as conveyed to Carrie Ann Barton Smith by deed as recorded In
Volume 1918, Page 884, of the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas, and as conveyed to Charles
Grady Barton by deed as recorded In Volume 1918, Page 886, of the Official Records of Williamson
County, Texas. Surveyed on the ground in the month of December, 2003, under the supervision of Don
H. Bizzell, Registered Professional Land Surveyor, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set, at a cedar corner post, at the Intersection of the north line of County Road
No, 111 (Westinghouse Road) and the west line of County Road No. 116, for the Southeast corner of the
above -referenced Carrie Ann Barton Smith and Charles Grady Barton Second Tract, for the Southeast
corner
hereof;

2004, under the supervision of Don H. Bizzell, Registered Professional Land Surveyor, and being more
particularly described as follows;
BEGINNING at an Iron pin found on the west line of County Road Na 116, marking the most northerly
Northeast corner of the above referenced 52.10 acre Barton, et al, tract, being the Southeast corner of
that certain tract of land, called 34.1118 acres, as conveyed to W. D. Kelley Foundation by deed
recorded as Document No. 2002001129 of the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas, for the
Northeast corner hereof,

marking the most westerly Southwest corner of the said 52.10 Barton, et al, tract, being the Northwest

said east line of the John Powell Survey, Abstract No. 491, being the west line of the said 52.10 acre

21' 50'W, 479.52 feet to an Iron pin found (an Iron pin found bears S 22° 30' E, 0.08 of a foot), marking
the Northwest corner of the said 52.10 acre Barton, et al. tract, being the most westerly Southwest

971, of the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas; N 68° 27' E, 363.00 feet to a nail set at a chain
link fence corner, marking the Southeast corner of the said 2.50 acre City of Georgetown tract, being the
most easterly Southwest corner of the said 34.1118 acre W. D. Kelley Foundation tract, and continuing
