Jackson Daly, Executive Assistant; and Karen Frost, Recording Secretary Call to order by Urban at 4:03 p.m. The Historic and Architectural Review Commission Sign Subcommittee is responsible for hearing andtaking final action on sign applications, by issuing Certificates of Design Compliance based upon the City Council adopted Downtown Design Guidelines. This is a regular scheduled meeting of the Sign Subcommittee, for consideration and possible action on the following: 1_ Review and possible action on the minutes from the September 9, 2013 Sign Subcommittee meeting_ Motion by Mee to approve the minutes as presented_ Second by Urban. Approved 2 — O. 2. Public Hearing and possible action on an amended Certificate of Design Compliance Request for signage at City of Georgetown, Block SO, Lot 1 (S/PT), .08 acres, located at:82.4.S.. Austin Ave. (CDC-2013-013) Syrlatschk presented .the application. The applicant is requesting additional sigrlagee for their business. 'They would like a projecting sign on the front facade,in the same colors as the other approved signage. There were no questions by the Conamissioriers_ Urban opened the Public Hearing and closed it with no speakerscoming forth. Mee asked why the red was different than the awnings and trim of the building, which is a more maroon color_ The applicant, Friend Schulze explained that the proposed red was more visible and also the same color as on the other signage_ .Motion by Mee to approve the CDC-201_3-013 as proposed_ Second by Urba t_ Approved 2—O. 3. Public Hearing and possible action on a Certificate of Design Compliance Request for signage at City of Georgetown, Block 41., Lot 4 (PT), located at 706 S. Austin Avenue, Suite 201 (CDC-2013-044). Synatschk presented the application. The applicant is requesting exterior signage-or1 the HARC Sign Subconnmittee Page 1 of 2 Matting: OCLober 14, 2013 primary facade, including door and window signage_ Both the front window interior sign and side door interior window signage would be made of reverse vinyl decals. The commissioners did riot have questions. Urban opened the Public Hearing and closed it with no speakers coming forth_ Motion by Mee to approve the CE)C-2013-044 as submitted. Second by Urban. Approved 2—O. 4. Public Hearing and possible action on a Certificate of Design Compliance. Request for signage at Glasscock Addition, Block 16, Lot 1-2. (I 1'S), .095 acres, located at 314 East 6,', Street (CDC-2013-045) Synatschk presented the staff report. The applicant is requesting signage on the exterior facade of the building. Staff recommends approval of the flush mounted sign. Mee stated he thought the sign was sell designed and represents the business well. Urban opened the Public Hearing and closed it with no speakers coming forth_ Motion by Mee to approve the CDC-2013-045 as submitted. Second by Llrban. Approved 2—O. 5. Adjournment.
