A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE STAFF
TO NEGOTIATE A LONG-TERM AIRPORT LAND LEASE
WITH ROBERT B. CURREY AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR
APPROXIMATELY FOUR ACRES OF AIRPORT PROPERTY
LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF AIRPORT
ROAD AND TERMINAL DRIVE
WHEREAS, Robert B. Currey and Associates, Inc. did present a proposal to the Airport
Advisory Board on October 26, 1998, to lease the four acres site in order to construct new hangar
and office facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the Airport Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend that the
Council authorize the staff to negotiate a long-term Airport land lease with Robert B. Currey and
Associates, Inc. for the development of the site; and,
WHEREAS, this development is important to the Council's goal to keeping the Airport
Fund self sufficient; and,
WHEREAS, this development is consistent with the Airport Functional Plan Element
approved by the Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this
resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are
incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied
verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements Facilities
and Services Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states: "The
City will endeavor to increase the quality of life through the upgrading of existing
facilities and services and the provision of new services to met the specific needs
of the community"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not
inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by
Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.

SECTION 2. The City Staff is hereby authorized to negotiate a long-term land lease with
Robert B. Currey and Associates, Inc. for the development of the four acre site under the
following conditions:
A. The development of the site shall be exactly as represented in Robert B. Currey's
proposal of October 26, 1998.
B. The negotiated lease agreement shall be submitted to the Airport Advisory Board
at a regular public meeting for review and action before being submitted to the
Council.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
