A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, CITY
MANAGER, DIRECTOR OF FINANCE, AND CITY SECRETARY TO
PROVIDE AUTHORIZED SIGNATORIES FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS
PURCHASE VOUCHER AND THE REQUEST FOR ADVANCE OR
REIMBURSEMENT REGARDING TEXAS COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONTRACTS ON BEHALF OF ALU -CUT
INTERNATIONAL, INC., SCHUNK QUARTZ, INC., AND XYCARB
CERAMICS USA, INC.
WHEREAS, the Texas Community Development Program Implementation Manual
requires that the recipient organization shall provide authorized signatories for the State of Texas
Purchase Voucher and the Request for Advance or Reimbursement; and
WHEREAS, the recipient organization, being the City of Georgetown, Texas, has met
this requirement by the City Council passing a resolution delegating the persons listed below
with the authority to sign the Depository/Authorized Signatories Designation Form for Texas
Community Development Program Contracts on behalf of Alu-Cut International, Inc., Schunk
Quartz, Inc., and Xycarb Ceramics USA, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2: The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements the
following policy or policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element:
Economic Development Policy End 1.0, which states: "Georgetown's economy is
self-sustaining through diversified growth, a broad tax base with minimal impact
from economic fluctuation, enhanced business opportunity and job creation."
2. Economic Development Focus End 1.2, which states: "Georgetown recruits small
to mid-sized commercial/industrial firms from all areas of the production process
(i.e., research and development, assembly, production, distribution, warehousing,
and retailing)."

3. Economic Development Focus End 1.7, which states: "the City provides financial
and nonfinancial incentives to promote economic development."
SECTION 3: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the City Secretary to attest
thereto this resolution which designates as authorized signatories the following officers of the
City of Georgetown:

Susan Morgan
Director of Finance and Administration
Sandra Lee
City Secretary

SECTION 4: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
