A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO VACATE AND ABANDON PUBLIC UTILITY
EASEMENTS LOCATED ON LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 11, WILLIAMS
ADDITION, UNIT 4, AS RECORDED IN THE PLAT RECORDS CABINET
C, SLIDES 355-356 OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS; AND A RIGHT-
OF-WAY AND PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT ON LOTS 2 AND 3,
BLOCK 11, WILLIAMS ADDITION, UNIT 4, AS RECORDED IN
VOLUME 802, PAGE 140 AS . RECORDED IN THE OFFICIAL DEED
RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS; AND LOCATED AT
1902 AND 1904 SILVERLEAF DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received an Application for the Vacation of a
ten -foot -wide Public Utility Easement, being five feet on each side of the common lot line of Lots
2 and 3, Block 11, Williams Addition, Unit 4, as recorded in Cabinet C, Slides 355-356 of the
Official Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas; a ten -foot -wide Public Utility Easement
located on the rear property line of the above-described lots; and a ten -foot -wide right-of-way
and easement, being five feet on each side of the common lot line of the above-described lots,
as recorded in Volume 802, Page 140 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and
located at 1902 and 1904 Silverleaf Drive; and
WHEREAS, upon considering the Application and additional information pertaining to
the Application, the City Council now finds that there -are no utilities existing in the easements
and that the utility companies serving -the area including and surrounding the easements have
determined that there exists no present or foreseeable need for the easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly
made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
The City Council finds that this action implements the following policies of the Century
Plan - Policy Plan:
1. Growth and Physical Development Policy End 7.0, which states: "Georgetown's
land uses support economic, cultural and social activities for all residents,
businesses and organizations; and the City's development process encourages new
and infill development.".
2. Utilities/Energy Policy 14.5 which states:

The City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other
Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy
Plan.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of
Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed abandoning the ten -foot -wide Public Utility Easement, being five
feet on each side of the common lot line of Lots 2 and 3, Block 11, Williams Addition, Unit 4,
as recorded in Cabinet C, Slides 355-356 of the Official Plat Records of Williamson County,
Texas; a ten -foot -wide Public Utility Easement located on the rear property line of the above-
described lots; and a ten -foot -wide right-of-way and easement, being five feet on each side of the
common lot line of the above-described lots, as recorded in Volume 802, Page 140 of the Deed
Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located at 1902 and 1904 Silverleaf Drive and the
City Secretary to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
