DYCHES SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 171, TO VOLUNTARILY INCLUDE APPROXIMATELY 2,141 ACRES WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN WHEREAS, the City has received requests from the following owners of the following properties to voluntarily be included within the City's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ): Commonwealth Land Title of Austin, Inc./Del Webb Texas Limited Partnership: 104.069 acres as described in Exhibit "A" 4-T Ranch Associates: 326.096 acres as described in Exhibit "B" 4-T Ranch Associates: 104 acres as described in Exhibit "C" Del Webb Texas Limited Partnership: 331 acres as described in Exhibit "D" Fred Akers, E. Joe Duckworth, Charles Ward, Trustees, and J.E. Bridges: 263.34 acres as described in Exhibit "E" Ernest Clay Young and Pauline Young: 46 acres as described in Exhibit "F" John D. Byram: 307 acres as described in Exhibit "G" Del Webb Texas Limited Partnership: 93.003 acres as described in Exhibit "H" Del Webb Texas Limited Partnership: 26.852 acres as described in Exhibit "I" Del Webb Texas Limited Partnership: 301.519 acres as described in Exhibit "J" Artie Young, Ernest Clay Young, Pauline Young, Lena Young Tucker, Bruce Tucker, Wilburn Tucker, and the Estate of Hazel Young Shaw: 237 acres as described in Exhibit "K" WHEREAS, all parcels are identified on a map and by metes and bounds descriptions attached to this Resolution as Exhibit "L"; and WHEREAS, since all parcels are being accepted at one time, and certain of the parcels are currently contiguous to the City's existing extraterritorial jurisdiction, then all the property requested to be included within the extraterritorial jurisdiction will be contiguous to the current extraterritorial jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, Section 42.022 of the Texas Local Government Code allows for properties that are contiguous to the extraterritorial jurisdiction of a City to voluntarily be included into the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction upon request of the property owner, and acceptance by the City; ETJ Voluntary Inclusion Res. No. Page 1 of $,3 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements Growth and Physical Development Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states: "The City will ensure that future land use patterns provide economic, cultural, and social activities to all residents, businesses and organizations"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The City hereby accepts the properties identified in the attached Exhibits A through K into the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction for all purposes, effective immediately, and will prepare and file a document in the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas, as notice to future purchasers that the property is now within the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction.
