HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 950110-Y - Rec Center Membership FieldRESOLUTION No. 9"�-O/ ff taffy V 0] OWA W 1010 1 163,01"IM: 110 01 DI Kv 01 Im M' a I amt imin Mali W-11 WIIEREAS, the City of Georgetown has recognized the need for providing adequate recreationj facilities for the use and benefit of the general population of the City of Georgetown, and especially r the benefit of school-age children; and, I WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has recognized that minimal membership fee be incurreT to defray operating expenses of the Georgetown Recreation Center; and I WIIEREAS, the City of Georgetown has recognized that some citizens will not be able to afford .2 fee plan, so scholarships will be available, NOW, TBEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TBE CITY COUNCIL OF TBE CITY GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are here found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly al in a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution impleme Recreation and Cultural Affairs Policy 2 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states, "T cult tu City will assist in providing all its citizens the opportunity to participate in recreational and u] jmQ-gd further finds that the ado—ption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with am Actlia"C SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Georgetown approves Plan A and Plan B of the membership fee schedule for the Georgetown Recreation Center. SECTION 3. That the Mayor is authorized to sign and the City Secretary to attest, and the City Attorney to approve as to form. SECTION 4. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
