A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ADOPTING REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE
PROCEDURES FOR CONDUCTING APPEALS TO DISCIPLINARY
ACTIONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council has the duty to establish administrative procedures for
hearings on disciplinary matters;
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to establish procdedures for such
hearings prior to conducting a hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECIION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution atM
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that t
resolution implements Finance Policy I of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which I
state
"The City will conduct all municipal operations in an efficient business -like manner"; and fin-th
finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other C

Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 ) of the Administrative ChaptePr of the Policy an.
SECTION 2. The "Format for Disciplinary Appeals Before the Georgetown City Council"
attached as Exhibit "A" is hereby adopted as the process for conducting appeals of proposei
employee disciplinary action before the City Council.
