Local Government Code: and
WHEREAS, a separate vote of the City Council is required to ratify that the adoption of
the 2014/15 Annual Budget will require raising more revenue from property taxes than the
previous year; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL'OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this
resolution complies with the Vision Statement of the City of Georgetown 2030 Comprehensive
Plan.
SECTION 2. The 2014 notification statement that states "This Budget will raise m-

otal property taxes than last year's budget by $2,046,020 or 10.12%, and of that amount
$707,928 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year" has been
made.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this resolution and the City
Secretary to attest. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption,
