HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 940111-K - Deed 607 Golden Oaks Rd4 V, a ANA &FAIN 6"11 11 WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received an Application for the Vacation of a blanket Electric Utility Easement located on Tract 18, of the Golden Oaks Subdivision, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slides 394-397 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located at 607 Golden Oaks Road; and WHEREAS, upon considering the Application and additional information pertaining to the Application, the City Council now finds that there are no utilities existing solely in the blanket easement area and that the utility companies serving the area including and surrounding the easement have determined that there exists no present or foreseeable need for the blanket e.?.sement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council finds that this action implements the following policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan: 1. Growth and Physical Development Policy 1, which states "The City will ensure that future land use patterns provide economic, cultural, and social activities to all residents, businesses and organizations; and 2. Utilities/Energy Policy 2, which states "The City will establish Utility policies which take into consideration the needs of all citizens of the community and take necessary precautions to prevent harmful ecological impact on the environment. " The City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed abandoning the blanket Electric Utility Easement located on Tract 18, of the Golden Oaks Subdivision, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slides 394-397 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located at 607 Golden Oaks Road, and the City Secretary to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown. SECTION -L This resolution does not effect the public utility easements established by the subdivision plat record of the property. RESOLVED this X day of J-in"L") 1994.
