WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received an Application for the Vacation of a fifty -foot -wide Access Easement located along the common lot line between Lots 6 and 7 of Turtle Bend Subdivision, Block C, as recorded in Cabinet E, Slides 349-350 in the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located at Ill and 113 Turtle Bend Drive; IT -MR 1 #1 0 'ity- Council now lincis Mat nas beel it- I (IMF IN an the Application, tffe k - 2nd that the City of Georgetown's Public Utilities Division Director has determined exists no present or foreseeable need for the easement; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 01 THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, that: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council finds that this action implements the following policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan: 1. Growth and Physical Development Policy 1, which states "The City will ensure that future land use patterns provide economic, cultural, and social activities to all residents, businesses and organizations." 2. Utilities/Energy Policy 2, which states "The City will establish Utility policies which take into consideration the needs of all citizens of the community and take necessary precautions to prevent harmful ecological impact on the environment; and (7 "1" " Turtle Bend Resolution No. Page 1 ofL The City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the ftlicy Plan. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed abandoning the fifty -foot -wide access easement located along the common lot line of Lots 6 and 7, Block C, Turtle Bend Subdivision as recorded in the records in Cabinet E, Slides 349-350 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located at 111 and 113 Turtle Bend Drive, and the City Secretary to attest thereto a contract on behalf of the City of Georgetown. -7- RESOLVED this day of tj Y1993.
