A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL O ) F THE CITY 01 GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUT - T A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION 01 THE PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT RECORDED IN VOLUME 52' 1!'AGE 155 AND LOCATED ALONG A PORTION OF THE CLE SPRINGS ROAD PROPERTY LINE OF LOT 5, BLOCK G, OF OA CREST, SECTION 1, AS RECORDED IN THE PLAT RECORDS 0 WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCALLY KNOWN AS 713 OAJ CREST LANE. WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received an Application for the Vacation of a portion of a ten -foot -wide Public Utility Easement recorded in Volume 527, Page 155 and located along the Clear Springs Road portion of the rear property line of Lot 5, Block 8, Oak Crest, Section 1, locally known as 713 Oak Crest Lane-, WHEREAS, upon considering the Application and additional information pertaining to the Application, the City Council now finds that there are no utilities existing in the easements and that the utility companies serving the area including and surrounding the easements have determined that there exists no present or foreseeable need for the easements; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, that: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council finds that this action implements the following policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan: 1. Growth and Physical Development Policy 1, which states "The City will ensure that future land use patterns provide economic, cultural, and social activities to all residents, businesses and organizations." 2. Utilities/Energy Policy 2, which states "The City will establish Utility policies which take into consideration the needs of all citizens of the community and take necessary precautions to prevent harmful ecological impact on the environment; and mun Mine I MR ISM ( 713 Oak Crest Lane Resolution No. no Page 1 of 2 SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed abandoning a portion of the a ten -foot -wide public utility easement recorded in Volume 527, Page 155 and located along the Clear Springs Road portion of the rear property line of Lot 5, Block 8, Oak Crest, Section 1, locally known as 713 Oak Crest Lane, and the City Secretary to attest thereto a contract on behalf of the City of Georgetown. This Quit Claim Deed win not effect the ••1'Public Utility Easement required by the plat for this property as recorded in Cabinet B, Slides 79-81 in the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas.
