WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received an Application for the Vacation of a
five -foot -wide Public Utility Easement located along the northwest property line of Lot 6, Block
I I, Thousand Oaks Subdivision, as recorded in Cabinet C, Slides 376-380 in the Plat Records
of Williamson County, Texas, locally known as 204 Woodmont;
WHEREAS, upon considering the Application and additional information pertaining to
the Application, the City Council now finds that there are no utilities existing in the easements
,!md that the utility companies serving the area including and surrounding the easements have
fetermined that there exists no present or foreseeable need for the easements; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIEL OF
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
The City Council finds that this action implements the following policies of the Century
Plan - Policy Plan:
1. Growth and Physical Development Policy 1, which states "The City will ensure
that future land use patterns provide economic, cultural, and social activities to
all residents, businesses and organizations."
2. Utilities/Energy Policy 2, which states "The City will establish Utility policies
which take into cons4eration the needs of all citizens of the community and take
necessary precautions to prevent harmful ecological impact on the environment;
and
The City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict with any
other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the
Policy Plan.

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of
Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed abandoning the five -foot -wide public utility easement located
along the northwest property line of Lot 6, Block 11, Thousand Oaks Subdivision, as recorded
in the records in Cabinet C, Slides 376-380 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas,
locally known as 204 Woodmont, and the City Secretary to attest thereto a deed on behalf of the
City of Georgetown.
