VaIEREAS, the City of Georgetown had received a request from the First Presbyteri
for a release of a special assessment lien-, i
V41EREAS, the City Council levied an assessment against City Addition, Lots 7 and 8,
Block 10 and against the real and true owner of said property to be due and payable in four
years;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has no financial records dating back to 1926;
VdIEREAS, the City Council, after hearing the Request and finding the specific facts
stated above, now concludes that the First Presbyterian be release from the special assessm
lien- I
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT-.
SECTION 1 The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution a -"-
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein a
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that th
resolution implements Growth and Physical Development of the Century Plan - Policy PI
Element, which states- "The City's regulatory actions will efficiently and effectively impleme
the Policy Statements and provide the opportunity to seek change with reasonable effort a
expense"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in confli
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapt
of the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest
thereto a release of special assessment lien with the First Presbyterian Church on behalf of the
City of Georgetown.

§ RELEASE OF SPECIAL
§ ASSESSMENT LIEN
WHEREAS, an assessment lien was ordered by the City Council ("City Council") of the
City of Georgetown, Texas ("City"), was recorded at Volume 6, Page 415, of the Mechanics, of
the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas, in 1922; and
WHEREAS, the City Council levied two assessments in the sum of $630.05 against Lots
7 and 8, Block 10, of Shell's Addition to the City of Georgetown, and against the real and true
owners of said property; and
WHEREAS, said assessment lien was due and payable within 4 years after the date of
issuance;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has no financial records dating back to 1926;
WHEREAS, First Presbyterian Church is the current owner of the above described
property, which is encumbered by said lien;
WHEREAS, First Presbyterian Church is planning some reconstruction work and during
a title search conducted by Georgetown Title Company, said lien was discovered.
NOW, THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that for and in
consideration of the recitals above and other 'good and valuable consideration,, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned has RELEASED AND DISCHARGED and by
these presents do hereby RELEASE AND DISCHARGE the above described property from any
and all liens recorded at Volume 6, Page 415 of the Lien Records of Williamson County Texas.

stated above, now concludes that J.L. Harris be released from the special assessment lien -
