HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 931228-C - Deed Lakeaire SubdivisionREsoLuTiON NO. 1?*3 12 28- q I a - ON JVAJ I Ialt MIA, , '1 01 1 KI)CM, W,11 0 01 1 loll Timillmax Njuggslo- WIffiREAS, the City Council previously authorized the City Attorney to negotiate a contract for sale of the City's portion of the Lakeaire, Shopping Center; WIIEREAS, the Buyer of the Lakeaire Shopping Center has completed all prerequisites Cor closing the sale; WIIEREAS, formal action by the City Council was necessary to complete the closing of the sale, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements Facilities and Services Policy I of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states: "The City will endeavor to increase the quality of life through the upgrading of existing facilities and services and the provision of new services to meet the specific needs of the community"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECI71ON 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Special Warranty Deed on behalf of the City of Georgetown conveying Lot One, Block One, of Lakeaire Subdivision, Section One, to the individual partners of Lakeaire Shopping Center, Ltd., in individual interests as specified by the buyers. SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption, and shall have the effect of ratifying the Special Warranty Deed executed on December 17, 1993.
