A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO VACATE AND ABANDON PORTIONS OF A
PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED ON SERENADA COUNTRY
ESTATES, FIRST RESUBDIVISION OF A PART OF UNIT 2, BLOCK 1,
LOTS 363 AND 364, AS RECORDED IN TTIE PLAT RECORDS OF
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCALLY KNOWN AS 4103
SEQUOIA TRAIL WEST.
)WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received an Application for the Vacation of a
twenty -foot -wide Public Utility Easement located along the common lot line of Lots 363 and
364, Block 1, Serenada Country Estates, First Resubdivision of Unit 2, as recorded in Cabinet
C, Slides 36-38 in the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located at 4103 Sequoia
Trail West;
WHEREAS, upon considering the Application and additional information pertaining to
the Application, the City Council now finds that there are no utilities existing in the easements
and that the utility companies serving the area including and surrounding the easements have
determined that there exists no present or foreseeable need for the easements; arid -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, that:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in -the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference
herein and exDressly made a part hereof, as if co ied verbatim.

The City Council finds that this action implements the following policies of the Century
Plan - Policy Plan:
1. Growth and Physical Development Policy 1, which states "The City will ensure
that future land use patterns provide economic, cultural, and social activities to
all residents, businesses and organizations."
2. Utilities/Energy Policy 2, which states "The City will establish Utility policies
which take into consideration the needs of all citizens of the community and take
necessary precautions to prevent harmful ecological impact on the environment;
and
The City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict with any
other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the
Riverhill Resolution No. uo-z:00

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of
Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed abandoning the twenty-fise the public utility
easement located along the common lot line of Lots 363 and 364, Block 1, Serenada
Country Estates, First Resubdivision of a part of Unit 2 as recorded in the records in
Cabinet C, Slides 36-38 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located
at 4103 Sequoia Trail West, and the City Secretary to attest thereto a contract on behalf
of the City of Georgetown.
