The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution a 14 hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein a expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that th ,dVellution im�idements UtilitiesFffinergo PQlicgA 5 of the Centur* Plan - Poli!Z,,i Plan Element, whill states- "The City will provide water, wastewater, electricity, and solid waste collection servic which meet the immediate and future needs of all citizens and which encourages and provid for economic development," and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is n inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. I SECTION 2. A Texas Community Development Program application for Community 110,evelopment Funds is hereby authorized to be filed on behalf of the City with the Texas Fojepartment of Housing and Community Affairs. SECTION 3. The City's application be placed in competition for funding under the Community Development Fund. SECTION 4. The application be for $200,298 of grant funds to carry out water, sewer, flood and drainage improvements and related engineering. TCDP/Uti1Wes Resolution No. Pagel of 2 Pages SECTION 5. The City commit $40,060 from its General Fund as a cash contribution Vt be matched with Texas Community Development Funds to be used for flood and drainage improvements and grant administration.
