HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 920541 - EPA Environmental Audit Report1114MI)RUN VvTHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is the major distributor of water within its corporate limits; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and efficient distribution maintenance of water utilities is essential to the operation of the City's Public U �hl Division; NOW� THEREFORE� BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECLION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution -2re hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference fierein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements Utilities/Energy Policy 3 of the Century Plan - Policy an Element, which states: "the City will establish and maintain a functional plan for utilities that will cerate and maintain a posture that encourages and provides economic development in the City of Georgetown "; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The City of Georgetown City Council hereby agrees to the necessary actions to maintain permit requirements contained in the NPDES Permit #TX0022667. A. Maintain self-sufficient wastewater utility operations on a pay as you go system. C - Maintain total utility fund reserves of not less than $5,000,000.00. SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authonized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto this resolution on behalf of the City of Georgetown. This resolution passed bote of the City Council. EPA AUDIT.
