RESOLUTION NO. 7
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Georgetowa
Texas, provide that on May 4, 1991, there shall be elected the following officials for this Cit
Four (4) Members of the Council: Districts 1, 3, 4, 5
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, further provide that the Election Code of the State of Texas is applicable to said election,
and in order to comply with said Code, a Resolution should be passed establishing the procedure
to be followed in said election, and designating the voting places for said election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CIT71:
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS THAT-
SECTIONcandidates for the election to be held on the first Saturday in May, 1991,
the above-mentioned positions shall file their application to become candidates with the Ci
Secretary at City Hall, 609 Ma i n Street, Georgetown, Texas, on or before 5:00 pm. on the fortt
fifth day before the election, such date being March 20, 1991 I

shall be on a form as prescribed by Section 141.031 of the Election Code of the State of Te
The order in which the names of the candidates are to be printed on the ballot shall be
determined by a drawing by the City Secretary as provided by Section 52.0984 of the Election
Code.
SECTION 111. This City has two polling places where voting shall take place, which are as
follows:
1. Polling Place "A", which includes all of Williamson County election precincts
No. 8, 14, 42, 43 and 45 that lie within City limits, shall be located at Fire Station
No. 1, 806 1/2 Main Street. Voters at polling place "A!' will vote for
Councilmembers in Single -Member Voting Districts 1 and 3.
2. Polling Place "B", which includes all of Williamson County election precincts
No. 1, 2, and 32 that lie within City limits, shall be located at Fire Station No. 2,
204 Central Ave. Voters at polling place "B" will vote for Councilmembers in
Single -Member Voting Districts 4 and 5.

SECTION IX. Said election shall be held in accordance with the Election Code of this state,
and only resident qualified voters of said City shall be eligible to vote at said election.
SECTION X. The Mayor shall give notice of this election in accordance with the terms aits
provisions of Sections 4.004, 83.010, 85.004, and 85.007 of the Election Code, and all necessa
orders and writs for said election shall be issued by the proper authority. The City Secreta

shall conduct an unofficial tabulation of results after the closing of the polls. The offici
canvass and tabulation of the results of the election shall be conducted by the City Council at
Special Session on May 7, 1991.
SECTION XI. It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of th,
governing body, the City Secretary shall post written notice of the date. place and subject of th
meeting on the bulletin board located at the City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessib, -
to the general public, and said notice having been so posted, shall remain posted continuous
for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting. A copy of the return of sa
posting shall be attached to the minutes of this meeting and shall be made a part thereof for
intents and purposes. I
