WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is the major distributor of
electrical utilities within its corporate limits, and TIPS Inc. desire to enter into
an agreement for professional services related to the creation and installation of
an Electrical System Telemetry monitor program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds safe and efficient distribution of electrical
utilities is essential to the operation of the City's Public Utilities Division; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements
Utilities/Energy Policy 3 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element and is not
found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as
required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. Policy
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resoulution arm -
hereby forund and declared to be ture and correct, and are incorporated b
reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary tM#
attest thereto, and contract with TiPS Inc. for professional services related
the Electrical System *Telemetry monitor program, including creation an

installation, in the amount of $114,000.00 and funding source for the project wi
be Electrical Capitol Projects, Account No. 06-01-00-5093, on behalf of the Cit
of Georgetown.
