GEORGETOWN IS COMA41TTED TO PROVIDING HIGH
QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND ADOPTING A
CUSTOMER SERVICE MOTTO FOR USE BY CITY
EMPLOYEES, ON CITY PROPERTY, AND ON CITY
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that times have changed, and in a servi
economy, service organizations --such as the City of Georgetown --that provide services a.
increasingly important; and
WHEREAS, the quality of those services is the critical element which will distinguish t
City of Georgetown from other municipalities and from other similar service provi .•

WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that high quality customer service is the right]
expectation of the citizens of the City of Georgetown-, and
WHEREAS, the mission statement adopted by the City Council of the City —1
Georgetown, "to make the City of Georgetown organization work for, and be responsive to t,
needs of the people of Georgetown: to deliver high quality services which are cost effectivi
names good customer service as our mission; and
WHEREAS, the Council has previously provided support for training and activities whics
are helping City employees to provide the highest quality services, such as a seminar conduct

WHEREAS, the Customer Service Task Force is spearheading an ongoing effort t*
integrate high quality customer service into all aspects of the City's operations; and
WHEREAS, the Customer Service Task Force held a contest to solicit suggestions frolm
all City employees for a slogan which would demonstrate the City's commitment to high-quali
customer service; and I
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Facilities and Services
Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in
conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative
Chapter of the Policy Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
